Under the hood of the 2022 Soul is a powerful 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 147 horsepower and 132 lb-ft of torque. Mated to an Intelligent variable automatic transmission, power is transferred to the front wheels to return an EPA estimated 33MPG on the highway.

Opt for the Soul Turbo and you’ll enjoy 201 horsepower from the 1.6-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, performance is thrilling everytime you hit the gas. For 2022, the manual transmission has been dropped, making the automatic transmission the standard option.

Technology is just as expansive, thanks to the new 8-inch standard touchscreen display that’s been upgraded from the 7-inch screen found in the 2021 Kia Soul. Speaking of upgrades, the Soul S, X-Line and GT Line all receive a new 10.3-inch touchscreen navigation system, along with dual zone automatic climate control, and even a wireless smartphone charger.
